As education continues to focus on achievement and academics, it is crucial for us to focus on the social-emotional aspect of our students. If we don't have an environment of equity and acceptance within our classrooms, we will not effectively decrease the achievement gap. Within the Critical Practices guide, published by Teaching Tolerance, four sections are discussed: Instruction, Classroom Culture, Family and Community Engagement, and Teacher Leadership. In this webinar, Megan Fuciarelli will explore each of these sections and discuss how these practices can provide a more equitable environment for our students.
