Self Inflating Balloon Experiment (Scroll fo Materials and Instructions)

This is a fun and easy science experiment that is safe for students in any grade to do on their own. Watch magic happen when you combine baking soda and vinegar together in a bottle.

Materials:
-Balloon
-Plastic bottle
-White vinegar
-Baking Soda
-Funnel
-Spoon

How to:
1- Pour 1-2 spoonfuls of baking soda into the opening of the balloon using a funnel. Make sure it all falls to the bottom of the balloon.
2- Pour some vinegar into your plastic bottle until it is about an inch or two deep. No need for exact measurements.
3- Carefully put the opening of the balloon around the top of the bottle. Don’t pour it in yet!
When you are ready for the reaction, lift the balloon up so the baking soda falls into the bottle.
