Description: It’s AcTV News here with a news story about the aftermath of the explosion in Beirut. In the wake of the explosion people are demanding change, especially in the Lebanese government. Students, educators, and parents, check out this video from our Episode 7 Newscast!

In this video we start at the explosion in Beirut on August 4, 2020 and explain what has gone on in Lebanon since then. The government has been blamed for the explosion, as they knowingly left 2,750 tons of ammonium nitrate just sitting in the port for 7 years. Many members of the Lebanese government have stepped down since the explosion including the former prime minister, Hassan Diab. Although this is a step in the right direction, it does not solve Lebanon’s problems. Be sure to watch through the video to see how other countries and individuals are coming to Lebanon’s aid.
