Earlier this year, in April 2019, researchers at Tel Aviv University managed to 3D print a heart replete with cells, blood vessels, ventricles and chambers. This is the first 3D time a heart has been 3D printed along with all the cells and blood vessels, using patient-specific biomaterials. Considering the incredibly complex anatomy of the heart, we are wonder struck and wish them all the very best on their continued efforts to 3D print a fully functioning heart.
