این دیده زمانی نیز خندیده ، که می گرید
these times, you also laugh as you sob

تنها نه از این مردم ، صد روی و ریا دیده

from my pupil I cry, the misery I see

صد داغ نهان دارد ، این سینه که می خندد

This track is from a private recording in Kabul in 1978. It feels this is the first time Ahmad Zahir has sang the song.

The conversation at the end is telling of that period when civil unrest was brewing.
