Week 7 Diploma of Screen and Media, "Wanted Man" short film.

I think the boys did pretty well considering we had to film it all in 1 day after a two week Delta lockdown.

My group's first time out with a frustratingly basic Panasonic 1080p camera that only went to an F11 "F stop" ( "this camera goes to 11" ).

We had a few aperture/exposure issues to deal with in some shots, particularly outdoors where the sky was a little overexposed and white...

I worked with the footage in Premiere Pro to add adjustment layers, colour mattes, colour gradients, employ colour correction & grading, altered contrast levels, added a lens flare, light flares, a light ray, a patina of grain for interrogation room scenes as well as an Arri Alexa Cold Blue filter for some interrogation room shots to get a suitably gloomy look...

This is replaced with a warmer colour palette during the "escape" through the hallways, which morphs into a bloody orange/red descent into hell flashback... and then back to reality.

Stay for the short credits at the end.

Will Lawson did a very good job playing the lead at short notice (considering he's never acted before).
