A selection of portraits based on the street names in my neighbourhood, exploring universal themes such as resistance, emancipation, conciliation and the notion of feeling welcome and at home. Thanks to all the participants for their contributions and performances. In order of appearance : Franck Struyve performs his song Flâne. 'Ground' by Henri Purcell is performed on piano, harpsichord and her own electro answer by Aveline Pete. Agatha Storm pops up now and then to protest and resist. Improvisations on gong and saxophone by Darrarat Chemnasiri as well as the final music for the credits. Silas Cuypers plays his study of 'Blue note' in the park. Sophie Museur dances in her dream. 'Buvons' is sung by The Erasmus Choir. Laura De Wachter's solfege class clap and play on a Saturday morning. 'Welcome is a two way street' is a poem written and performed by Nina Erasmus. 'King of the touch hungry city' is a poem written and performed by Kopano Morago who also sings Mahalia Jackson's 'How I got over'. 'Surrender' is a song written and performed by Jonas Gomes. Jan Vanwelkenhuysen plays the accordion with the pigeons. 'Family 90' written and performed by Mouad Belrhouate and Mehdi Gual Gal. 'Fuck you this is my vagina' written and performed by the RapChoir.
