This song came to me while walking a labyrinth. It called to me as if to say,
"Remember me. You are going to need me." The months that followed were filled with unexpected loss and the song began to fulfill it's purpose as I was called to share it with those in need. I am honored that the song continues to travel far and wide and to bring courage and healing to those who sing it. Since the orIginal recording of this song I have added two more verses :
"I walk for the suffering - may we answer their cries " &
"I walk for the safety of every Black life."
