When I took a mental health leave from my job it was hard explaining to others but more importantly to myself why I needed or deserved the time off. I didn't feel like I had the right to be sad, so I instead just felt guilty. I created this video on my leave as I was working through my thoughts and felt like this was the best way I could express what little I understood about my mind. This was shot and edited at my house in Lake Merritt Oakland, CA - where I spent the majority of my health leave.
