VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
Play, download and edit the free video Social Jukebox.
A Social Jukebox I conceptualized and built using a raspberry pi & Spotify.
It provided shared music streaming to an event as a social game.
Event attendees were invited to use their smartphone and scan a QR code that would take them to a PWA.
After going through a geo-fence validation, attendees were allowed to look-up, preview, queue, like and dis-like songs on a centralized player that was providing the music to the event.
The experience was like a game since the song's were re-sorted matching popular preference computed by song's likes / dis-likes.
A giant screen was used to enhance the experience listing all of the queued songs / users, likes and dislikes. This screen was refresh in realtime as users were interacting with the application.
The product was used in production by Diageo for a set of private parties they were performing called "The Social Hour" were they featured their product Jhonny Walker.
