Track Name: From The Heart
Commissioned to create & produce a House Music track using samples from traditional Torres Strait Islander instruments for a dance work for NAISDA at Carriageworks in Nov 2019. This is the first electronic dance music track using TSI instrument samples ever created.
I give huge thanks to Sani Townson, the show's choregrapher & producer for the honour of inviting us to create this piece of music & sharing the rich First Nations culture with us.
NAISDA Dance College presents the next generation of First Nations contemporary dancers and choreographers alongside special guests from Wug Village, Mua Island, Torres Strait. Under the direction of NAISDA graduate, choreographer and performer, Sani Townson, NGOENAKAP (Language group Western Torres Strait – KALA LAGAW YA) will explore stories that resonate with First Nation Peoples connection to Country and Kinship.
