Aliza Norman, a junior at Western Kentucky University studying piano, strives to find the balance between practicing music as a rigorous form of study as well as a passion. Norman challenges herself to push past a strictly technique-based view of music and instead use her instrument as a means of creative expression. Norman says she is looking forward to composing more in the future and eventually releasing her own body of experimental work.
