In October of 2008, I was asked to create a highlight film for Kobe's KB24 brand launch. As a Laker for Life, and a huge fan of Kobe, it was honor for me to create this for him.

I remember how excited I was when I received word that Kanye West had given us permission to use "Touch the Sky" for the launch. Since that day, I have always associated this song with Kobe. And now the lyrics are more poignant than ever before. I am at a loss for words.

KB24 released a :30 version for the launch. But I had also created a :90 director's cut. This extended version was never released. It features his daughters, Gianna "Gigi" Bryant, Natalia Bryant. It also shows his devotion to young athletes, and connection to his fans.

Gigi was only two when I made this highlight film, the same age as my own daughter, which makes this even harder for me to process. I can't even imagine what those who are closer to the victims of this tragedy must be going though. My heart breaks. It should be noted that in the thumbnail picture, Kobe is is holding Natalia Bryant.

I am releasing this today as Los Angeles, and the world, morns the loss of this great human, along with eight others, who's lives were cut short. Each of these families are in my prayers.

I hope this video brings joy to our global community at this time of sadness, and evokes that great human spirit in all of us, that was Kobe Bryant. Too soon to be gone.
