Paris, 2019

It was a cloudy November morning, and we’d been running around the city like crazy, before we finally managed to find a few hours to create another world within the one we we’ve been in.
After a few struggles with equipment, memory cards, set-up, and mini breakdowns, this happened..
Ali played what was then the 3rd/4th version of Kabaary; a song he’d written a few months back, that’s always taking different shapes.. I grabbed my camera, and swayed around the big white room, while he sang and clicked on colorful buttons that spoke all kinds of sounds.
Before that, I hadn’t shot a live electronic music set, and I was overwhelmed by the way fingers silently communicate and move with the equipment, trying to capture the magic.

That’s the thing about music.. We can always go back to it, and make a home out of it. And if we keep an open heart, it will continue to amaze us.. We finished filming, and had to run to be somewhere else, back to the fast, busy Paris streets. But we’ll always have this memory..
