Long before I became an actor, I was a musician. From my childhood days, I performed on stage in nightclubs where some of the greats in soul music, rhythm and blues, and blues music had just played, as well as at church and school affairs. I always had a band backing me, and a guitar in my hands. After all these years, my love of music has never dimmed, even at this stage of my life, and I'm always looking for ways to improve my skills. When I saw Stevie Mackey (@steviemackey) singing online with Jessie J and learned that he had a monthly online class, I knew I had to take it. The young man has some mighty impressive vocal and teaching skills, and his students include some of the best in the business. Here I am at the end of my second month under his tutelage, performing with my guitar in hand.
