Being a woman is like carrying purulent wounds that keep getting infected and can never be healed. We were born and raised under the shelter of Thai culture; we were taught a billion times to become good women. We learned that we are weak and we don’t feel anything because feelings are taboo. But actually, we are human with flesh and blood, we do feel things. Sometime we are weak and sometime we are not. We inevitably avoid our feelings inside as we are human. Our tiny little spaces that was given by male-leading society are so small that we have to say what they wanted to hear just to be heard.
A moving image by Patcharapa Inchang (Pare) is reflecting the purulent wounds and how they formed. Inchang is projecting her feelings and how the society treated women through the gesture of both her hands, she scratched the back of hers over and over again to mark infinite lines on top of each other. The artist sitting and moving her body nakedly. Inchang wants to throw the issue that women are expected to dress appropriately, instead to wear not to wear clothes are choices that each woman can make. To born a woman is like to be born with scar, the scar where woman often stab herself with emotions she wasn’t allowed to react to. Women carry bruises and wounds that is impossible to cure.

This music video has been rearrange by Patcharapa Inchang from the footages of the movie by Parinda Mai The video was recreated in order to explore around the idea of feminism and its issues in Thai society.
