My image unit and I wrote this script, pulled music and talked out the purpose and execution. We storyboarded a rough outline of what it would look like. There were a couple of controlled setups, but I filmed the core of this on the fly. We wanted it to feel raw and active. I had a "go bag" ready with either a C300 or C100, various zoom lenses and a monopod. As I got word of breaking news, I would jump in a car and go. My gear setup was a small footprint that was versatile and allowed me to document moments at the scene quickly. I am grateful I'm on the team that I am. This project was the most fun I've had in years.
