Hue, Saturation, and Value for Artists
In this video, I look at how to control and modify colours using hue, saturation, and value. I give definitions for the three terms and show how they can be used in practice using an example from my current painting.
The tricky part with my latest acrylic painting is one of the main elements is solely red so I had to work hard with saturation, value, and also subtly changing the hue to create something that is visually interesting.
