"I bought this 12’’ at Rough Trade in Paris in 1996. Not especially a record for the dance floor, but I loved that weird groove — Is it a house record? A techno record? Or even a trip hop record? Zdar was mixing genres, creating his own style. He loved 'Blister in the Sun' by Violent Femmes and Detroit techno legend Blake Baxter, those influences made that unique sound."
