This iteration aligns with JazzXchange’s mission, which is to: Use the principles of jazz performance to empower communities to embrace and celebrate innovation. You are our community and this tour to Ghana is to expand and deepen your cultural knowledge of the cultural values that are at the foundation of jazz; many innovations in music, dance,visual art, fashion and even food here in the United States ultimately point us directly back to West Africa. It truly does not matter who you are, if you are in the USA your cultural umbilical cord connects you to West Africa.
