Fractus uses the lens of infinitely intricate fractal shapes to explore the relationship between parent and child, as well as the ever-repeating pattern of life and death.
In this proof-of-concept slice, participants are introduced to the strange world of Fractus, an eternal fractal being. They assume the character of its ward, Melody, a fifteen-year-old. Throughout the course of the immersive VR experience, Melody must confront and come to terms with the death of a parent, the sundering of all she has known, and the liminal space between childhood and adulthood.
