Fluid began life as a completely different concept.

Following on from a similar timelapse video I produced as part of See Nature's Fury to highlight our stunning 2019 chase season, I began to look through all the footage I'd shot to see if there was more I could do with it besides simply retiming it to music and showcasing just how stunning nature can be. I want to take the concept of timelapse that little bit further, present it differently somehow, to use my skillsets as a motion designer to create something more distinctive. Those ideas will now be implemented in late 2020.

As those ideas evolved, I was also mindful of the feedback people had given on the original SNF timelapse and I'm sure that took over when I was deciding on the opening shot. From there, the rest of the video evolved swiftly and organically; completely independent of the original vision. What follows is choice timelapse footage shot over the 2018 and 2019 chase seasons demonstrating the turbulent, broiling nature of our atmosphere as a fluid.
