This was my vocal solo for the phoenix Starr Christmas showcase. When choosing the song in October I wanted to make sure all my skills and strong techniques where highlighted throughout the piece. I wanted a song that would challenge and push my vocal range as well as be comfortable so I can prevent straining and damaging my vocals. I used vocal skills such as vibrato, riffs, allegro, belting and accapella to add to the ore of the piece. Throughout the 5 weeks of rehearsals I feel this song has helped me to improve my vocal range and really push my belt in a more up tempo song. In the future I hope to maintain singing a variety of music genres and really push my musical knowledge in the next term.
