They were the British Wave's spearhead, sparking the most prolific and diverse era in music history before or since. Thinking all they needed were guitars, drums, and a few voices that could carry a tune, thousands of thirteen-year-olds jumped on the bandwagon as the fever spread like wildfire across America. It would be a time like no other. Who imagined that the price of passage into rock ’n’ roll would eventually include their hearts, souls, and in some cases, lives? Or that a small club in an old resort town on the Jersey shore would become the epicenter?
