As the Covid 19 global pandemic escalated in March of 2020 and we all went into lockdown, this song returned to me, crystallized by the suffering we were suddenly facing together. Friends sick, hospitalized, alone, or isolating in their homes trying their best to help stop the spread of the virus. I put out an open invitation for people to join me in creating a video for this song — to film themselves in their isolation, suffering, courage, or however they found themselves in the moment. I received many times more responses than I ever imagined. And I was utterly moved by video after video; friends, acquaintances and strangers sharing their vulnerability, strength, suffering, their raw humanity. Even as I share this, it's uncertain where we all will be even a month from now. But this is who we are, now, and that is of all worth. — J. Rodgers
