Gemma and I got talking about our project the other day and we decided to share this. We’re really proud of it. The project is still a work-in-progress that’s just on pause at the moment.

Like everyone, Gemma is dealing with lots of changes in her life at the moment. Different carers, different schedules. She’ll really enjoy hearing your comments.

During our research together, Gemma and I gradually wrote a list of things that Gemma found hard. When spending lots of time with Gemma, I become more aware of all of the different things that add to the challenges of Gemma’s day. Things that I, as an able-bodied person, never normally notice. Gemma is extremely determined and I’ve always admired it. So in true Gemma style we decided to make a song and stick two fingers up at the world.

Gemma is a huge fan of MJ* so we took our inspiration from him, it’s impossible to visit Gemma’s house without noticing his presence.

*we made this before the release of the recent Michael Jackson documentaries and are aware this is a sensitive matter. Please do not watch if you find his image and music triggering.
