Two internationally renowned University of Florida Music Professors, Welson Tremura (Ethnomusicologist/Brazilian Guitar/Voice) from Southern Brazil and Randy Lee (Trumpets/Flugelhorn/Egg Shaker) from Sothern California, join forces to create a musical program full of timeless melodies with a unique twist and a dash of fun. Their Beautiful Melodies program pares Chopin with Brazilian Samba, or Monti’s violin tour de force Czardas played on a piccolo trumpet. Hear a simple Western Lullaby with the relaxing muted trumpet, as well as original compositions and transcriptions from all genres ranging from classical, jazz, folk, and beyond. From the beginning of their collaboration in Gainesville, Florida, Tremura | Lee has toured internationally and regionally through the Southeast.
