この楽曲を初めて聞いた時のショックと『胸裡』というタイトルが、私の奥隅にある好奇心を捕らえました。私たちは日常社会で感情を表に曝け出すことよりもコントロールすることを優先しています。私自身も怒りという感情は特に努力して他者に悟られないように努めていたためか、次第に怒れない人間になっていました。解放されない感情は一体どこに消えるのでしょうか？今回はその「怒り」という感情を軸にクリエーションに挑みました。特別な感情ではなくみなさんの身近にある感情です。「怒り」は他の感情を隠すかのように、さまざまな感情と複雑に絡み合い無意識に表れては胸裡に消えていきます。クリエーションを通して、私たちは自身の存在を感情表現することで確認しているのではないかと思うようになったと同時に、SNSのようにメディアが日常化してきた現代の日本社会では失われつつある感覚なのかもしれないと気付きました。ですが、私は人間が感情を曝け出す姿は美しいと感じます。
　最後に、ヴォルフガング・リームの音楽との出会い、そしてアルディッティ弦楽四重奏団と共演というこれ以上ない機会を与えてくださったオカムラ＆カンパニー、神奈川県立音楽堂、愛知県芸術劇場に感謝いたします。また今回はプログラマーと組み、現代的な手法で振付アイディアを取り入れたインスタレーションを舞台外で行う予定です。私たちの存在を共有することで、舞台上で展開する表現を身近に感じていただけたら幸いです。

It was a real shock to hear this piece of music for the first time, as well as its title “Im Innersten”, which piqued curiosity I felt at the bottom of my heart. In daily life, we, humans, tend to focus on controlling our emotions rather than to expose them. I, myself, make a real effort to contain and conceal my anger, so that others will not suspect it is there. Gradually, this habit has made me a person who is unable to get angry at all. I wonder where those feelings disappear. In this piece, my intention was to put the feeling of “anger” at the center of the creation. This feeling is not anything special and can feel very close to us all. Anger always conceals and mixes with other emotions. In this complex process, it appears and disappears unconsciously. I began to think that we try to confirm our own existence by expressing feelings, and that we are losing this kind of sensitivity in our contemporary Japanese society, where social media have spread so much. Nowadays, I feel that a human being who reveals their own feelings is beautiful.

I would like to express my special appreciation to Okamura & Company, Kanagawa Prefectural Music Hall, and Aichi Prefectural Art Theater, who have made it possible for me to encounter the music of Wolfgang Rihm and to perform with the Arditti Quartet. Furthermore, the programmer and I have organised an off-stage installation featuring the choreographic ideas and contemporary dance techniques of the piece. I hope it will help you to feel close to the piece you will see on stage, after sharing emotions and a part of our existence together.
