What was initially nothing more than a seed of curiosity turned into a 7-month project and a special gift. Here is “A Portrait Of Us” - a short film that follows my Korean grandparents as they navigate their modern-day reckoning of life, their immigration story, and grandparent-hood.

I grew up very close to my grandparents, seeing them often, but not ever hearing much detail about their personal lives. Last year, I sat down with them in their living room to ask them about their stories — from life in Korea, getting married, immigration to the U.S., to building a big, loving family, they had so much to tell. The corners of this house hold 30 years worth of life memories! Today, I share with you what this project has become, as they walk back through these memories together with me. Thank you in advance for watching A Portrait Of Us! So thankful to have shared this experience with them, and to be able to share their story with the world.
