This is a track from my November 2019 album, 'Music To Mend The Heart' - recordings of choral music I've composed over the last 30 years. I wrote 'A Bethlehem Lament' in 2002 after hearing about the bombing of Bethlehem. The words question the images in the familiar carol 'O Little Town of Bethlehem'. Almost Blue sang on the album which was conducted, edited and mixed by Mark Warman. The piece was filmed during the studio recording at Angel Studios, Islington. Time contraints on the recording day prevented us from getting a wider variety of shots!
