Thinking about music, that makes a lot of sense to me.

The more I work on a hammering pattern, the more I work on a fingering or strumming pattern, the more I find the chords and play them in the format that they're used, the less I actually have to work at it.

If I'm trying to read the names of the notes on the staff, the more I do it, the less I need to do it.

If I'm trying to learn the ledger lines for the notes above and below the staff, the more I write them in and say their names and play them, the less I have to work at that because it will start to look familiar.

And that's what's happening?

The more I do it, the more familiar it becomes the less it becomes *work.*

So that's what I encourage you to do:

Do it more...so you don't need to do it."
