In preperation for being sent to Vietnam, a group of US Army recruits go through advanced infantry training (AIT) at Fort Polk, LA, otherwise known as Tigerland. This film was shot with 16mm hand-held cameras to increase its grittiness and sense of realism. Haven't seen it. IMDB rating 7.0. MPAA R.TRIVIA: Believing it would be a flop, New Regency Pictures all-but abandoned "Tigerland." As a result it opened in only five US theaters, which is the widest theatrical distribution it's ever had.
