Tomas began to contemplate about his thoughts of life while watching at the historical statues of Axum. He saw the impeccably built statue, the half failed statue that used a shaft as a support and the entirely collapsed statue. He then tried to connect the different structural existence of the statues to his life story.
Tomas is a basketball game enthusiast, having a dream of becoming a great basketball player. Meanwhile, his legs are completely paralyzed that makes him a handicapped person using a wheelchair to move.
Helen is a fashion designer who is deaf. Her Enthusiasm for fashion is to the extreme that she often spends her nights on her desk until she passes out while illustrating unique designs for her upcoming competition.
Simon is a blind KIRAR player (Ethiopian Traditional Guitar) and a musician, who always want to perform at a restaurant close to his house.
Tomas was at the outside of court watching the youth playing basketball. And he catches the ball coming directly to him. He thought about the team giving him a chance to play with them. Meanwhile, unfortunately, the team member rebuffed Tomas.
Helen was at the meeting hall and the announcer requested a presenter of a project. She thought about the announcer giving her a chance to present about her designs in sign language. However, the announcer gives the chance to another person who can speak.
Simon was at the restaurant’s stage in front of the audience to perform his music. He thought he was going to make the audience happy, but instead another musician who can see pushed him backward and started his song, while the audience made fun of unfortunate Simon’s incident.
Eventually, Helen and Simon joined Tomas in the statue area. Tomas concluded his contemplation by narrating his thought about the handicap community, having the ability and talent to do everything they wish to do in their life with the support and inspiration of others.
