In 2014 Glasgow Women’s Library (GWL) was invited by Wellcome Collection to collaborate in a programme on the theme of sexology. The Sex in the Women’s Library film documents an intense 6 months of activity including discussion sessions that took their template from the consciousness-raising activities initiated during the Second Wave of feminism, the exhibition Sex Between the Covers, drama and comedy workshops and activities around the sex, sexuality and sexology materials housed at the Glasgow Women’s Library.
I worked in close collaboration with the GWL team and project participants to create the Sex in the Women’s Library film and podcasts derived from the discussion sessions, What Women Talk About When They Talk About Sex.
