Pilobolus is back with an all-new adventure, combining its visually striking shadow-play with choreography and multimedia for an evening of wild and fascinating storytelling. In 2018, Pilobolus sold out its two Asheville performances of Shadowland, and, this season, the narrative continues in Shadowland: The New Adventure. Employing animation, video and shadowy theatrics, Shadowland: The New Adventure is a madcap adventure — part-love story and part-quixotic quest to save an imaginary bird — that dips its toe into science fiction, film noir and romantic comedy.
