In the world of lanterns, 3 little ones go every night to listen to the stories of old Mr. Mesbah.

His stories shed light on good experiences and useful values, derived from tales of young and old lanterns who seek knowledge and adventure. Through their stories we get to know things and learn to think analytically and creatively, even in the face of life’s adversity.

Treatment:

The visual is inspired by Islamic art and style, and the ideas and stories tinted by Arabian Night mood give the episodes a dreamy and magical quality that is very engaging.

Characters:

Shams: a young lantern-girl, she’s pretty and dainty. She’s the most sensitive of the three and loves all lanterns and creatures

Nour: The youngest of our characters in age and smallest in size. He has a rich imagination and always comes up with new ideas. His curiosity lends him to question a lot and demand answers and explanations from Mr. Mesbah.

Dia: A comedian of a lantern, a bit of a roly-poly. He loves food and always has a funny comment to share, which sometimes annoys his two friends.

Mr. Mesbah: An elderly wise lantern, but still full of fun and childish pranks. He loves telling stories in verse to the little lanterns, and his stories are simple yet inspiring. A lot of them are inspired by the Arabic and Islamic heritage.
