"Don't Let Them Tear Us Apart" is an original song, I conceived and composed long ago. Written about a girl with whom I fell in love, though many forces were working against us. They say, "You can't fight City Hall." —well we did... for awhile. And, for awhile, it was truly beautiful. She was a bright and beautiful lady who was just plain fun. She inspired me and, though she doesn't realize it, still does to this day. What I have learned from her and so many people is, with an open heart, most everyone we meet can enrich us. She certainly enriched my life at time when I truly needed it. Thank you, God, for the gift of love.

I have so many songs that need videos. And, this one, though a favorite of mine, was a rushed production that we never went back to. I sure would love the opportunity to re-record it, today —as the song means very much to me.

It was produced by the Shane McCauley, who also played drums on the cut. That is really a coup. Shane, whose nickname "Tall" indicates that he was and possible is the tallest drummer —EVER! I believe David "Norrie" Norris, the only six-string bassist in the world (well, who works with me) played bass on it. That is not my piano playing, so that is the late Ed Loftus who I always called "Doc." And, he is responsible for those harmonies that make my heart ache even now when I listen to this song. I must specifically point out Cameron Morgan on guitar. His nickname, chosen by Shane, Diamond Dick. I imagine that was because of his sparkling appeal to the fairer gender. His ride is haunting and I was lucky to have Cameron in the band —much less the studio.

However, I didn't create the song nor the production for me and the guys in the band. I was trying, as a composer, to create music for the folks who know and love us. I'm talking about you our fans, friends and family. To you, I must say Thank You for sticking with me on this wild and wonderful ride of life.

I would like to thank Wondershare Filmora9 for creating a program that gives filmmakers, film editors and music video producers like myself a facile program to create videos like the one you are about to view.

I further must mention Pond5. Without their great stock available to me neither of my last 3 videos would have been possible.

Now,I'd like to share with you that all odf the background artwork are tiny paintings that I created for my videos. If you pause on one you might enjoy the detail that I took. Sometimes, I will spend an hour or so for a second of video time. I only mention this, not get a congrats, but for those interested in the creative process.
