Reddish Egrets are fun to watch as they forage in the shallow water of the wetlands. They run back and forth with head tilted to one side, suddenly stopping, then stabbing at a fish. Sometimes they raise their wings in the air enticing small schools of fish to seek shelter in the shaded area.
But, I never realized how funny they look until I recorded a video of one running at one quarter speed. See if you agree that this one has a rather humorous stride.
