A Nature Where You Are video created by Audubon Canyon Ranch staff and volunteers to share their naturalists skills and insights with your family. We hope watching them will enhance your family’s engagement with nature and help your children develop their observation abilities and stewardship ethic.

California kingsnakes mate during the months of March–August depending on the climate. This pair was photographed at a Sonoma County park in early August 2020. After mating, the female kingsnake will lay eggs, rather than give birth to live young. She will leave the eggs to hatch on their own within 2–3 months.
