Let’s talk about three states of matter. Solid, liquid and gas. 

Materials are classed as solid when they have a fixed shape. And solids don‘t move once placed. And they don’t change volume, the amount of space they take up.

So when certain space is taken, there will inevitably be less space for other things. 

A solid has tightly packed molecules, a tight structure, so it cannot be compressed into a smaller space or volume. they do not move around. a solid will change shape only if forced, for instance it is broken or smashed.

It is NOT yet here. It is an ideality. We may never touch It, but we can feel it as the warm illumination of a horizon imbued with potentiality. We have never been there, yet it exists for us as an ideality that can be distilled from the past and used to imagine a future.

It is also a performative because it is not simply a being but a doing for and toward the future. It is essentially about the rejection of a here and now, and an insistence on potentiality or concrete possibility for another world.
