When applying at the Filmakademie in Ludwigsburg, Germany, the final step in the process, is to create an animation according to a certain topic or image the academy gives you. In my case that was a sketch of a cat lightning a cigarette with a bomb (which I found was a pretty fun thing to animate).
Once the assignment is sent, you get 72 hours (!) to plan, animate and edit the clip. So I went home, set myself behind my drawing tablet and got that thing going. A few storyboards, reworks, tears, adrenaline boosts and intense hours of animating and sound recording later, this is what I've created in just about two days. And damn, I mean no means to brag or anything, but for real now, it payed off, don't you think? I'm still pretty proud to be honest. Even more so since it actually got me in!
So I guess you can imagine how unspeakably grateful, happy and blessed I am.
