كانت في التاسعة من عمرها حين بدأت بالغناء الحي علي الراديو. منذ حينها لا يمر يوم تقريبا من دون أن تبث الإذاعات العربية أغانيها. لكن وداد لم تحظي بالشهرة التي تستحقها، منعتها عنها عوامل عديدة. هذا الفيلم هو نبذة شعرية ورحلة موسيقية، تحاول، من خلال وقائع حياة وداد، أن ترصد صعود نجمة وأفولها وأن تستحضر مناخ زمن مضي كما وأن تتناول قصص عشق النساء من خلال حياة وأغاني وداد.
Wadad’s voice was heard almost every day on Arab radio stations. But for several reasons she was pushed towards anonymity. The film is a journey through mind-blowing music that attempts, using events in Wadad’s life, to portray a diva and her decline.
La voix de Wadad n’a cessé d’être diffusée sur les radios arabes pendant des décennies. Mais ses origines juives, ses rapports amoureux et son caractère ombrageux, l’entraînèrent vers l’anonymat. C’est un voyage musical qui tente de dresser à travers sa vie, ses chansons et le cinéma d’époque, le portrait d’une diva.
