Project synopsis:

A possible collapse is a video installation that presents a physical space configured by four video projections. Each video channel shows a photograph with overlaid animations that simulate the structural deconstruction of the represented objects. The visual form and rhythm of the animations is directly correlated with a series of sound events. Each sound is a direct recording of one of the artists sighing.
This piece explores the possibility of the fall, it constructs a space in which one can relate with a process of disassembly, with the loss of an exoskeleton, with the truce. It’s a visual and spatial representation that is born from coming together, from the improbable chance of letting go in and onto someone else.
In this way, the installation constitutes a shelter, an asylum, a possible collapse.

Artists' Bio:

Julieta Caputo (1993, Buenos Aires, Argentina) and Ariel Uzal (1990, Bariloche, Argentina) collaborate on artistic projects since 2017, exploring intersections between their creative paths.
Principia, limbo gravitacional is their first collaboration, a net.art piece that inquires about psychological confinement and repetition patterns.
In 2017, they participated together with other 6 artists in the FASE (Art, technology and science gathering) Art Residency, in the Recoleta Cultural Center.
In 2019, they were selected to take part int the MANTA residency, in San Martín de los Andes, Argentina. A possible collapse is the result of the work carried out during this residency.
