Baseado na peça homónima de Tiago Rodrigues, “Tristeza e Alegria na Vida das Girafas” acompanha a aventura de uma menina de 10 anos e do seu urso de peluche suicida, chamado Judy Garland, enquanto atravessam a cidade de Lisboa em busca da única pessoa que a pode ajudar: o primeiro-ministro. É uma viagem de fantasia através da voz de uma criança que empreende a tarefa enciclopédica de tentar explicar o mundo.
Based on the play by Tiago Rodrigues, "Sadness and Joy in the Life of Giraffes" follows the adventure of a 10-year-old girl and her a teddy bear with suicidal tendencies named Judy Garland, across the city of Lisbon in search of the only person who can help her: the prime minister. It is a fantasy journey through the voice of a child who undertakes the encyclopedic task of trying to explain the world.
