As in the original movie series, The Matrix, University students live many years learning about what is in essence only a university's simulation of the Real-World. Based on surveys of business executives worldwide there are a large gaps along multiple dimensions as to their expectations of graduating university students and the capabilities that those students demonstrate. What students do not realise is that the expectations of business managers are quite different than those of the university professors that they have become proficient at satisfying. Students do have the raw materials BUT they must learn how their attitudes, behaviours, and approaches must adapt in order to truly be successful in industry.
