Diganta Dey was born in 9th May 1994 in a small village at Coochbehar district of West Bengal state in India. He started filmmaking without any conventional training about filmmaking. He is also the founder of independent film production company 'Teammate Workers'. Dey is a selected fellow of 'Platform Busan' program of Busan International Film Festival 2019 (South Korea) & guest judge of 'Hollywood Weekly Film Festival' 2020. Dey is also a selected fellow of 'Kyoto Filmmakers Lab 2020' in Japan. Dey's films are streaming on Amazon Prime (UK,US), UK Film Channel, MX Player in India & other OTT platforms. He passed 'Film Appreciation Course' from Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) & contributor as a film critic in FIPRESCI India Cine Journal & many regional film magazines.
