Synopsis
Through the Eyes, follows a human and her dog who both imagine what each others lives are like. The experimental short film is based on two lenses, but primarily focuses on the dogs perspective. Through this, we see how the dog (judd) observes the owners behaviour and the choices she makes. Through his eyes, he sees his owners struggles and attempts to remain sane. The experimental film attempts to capture both what the dog and owner see but the the human tends to ignores her feelings whereas the dog observes her emotional well-being. Through the owners mental struggles, she takes to unhealthy habits and becomes unable to cope no matter how effective they seem to be. The eyes portray an essential part to this experimental film. They represent the knowledge of what one consumes from sight and how one interprets what they view. The dog, finds himself confused as to why his owner is sad and does not acknowledge her wellbeing. Although they capture similar images, its how both animal and human view what surrounds them. Colour used often reflects the well-being of the human.When she is gone forever, he cannot process her loss and wishes for her to return.

The experimental short film is inspired by the work of Love Story - having a split screen gives the audience two different perspectives on how each subject operates.
