One of my favorite things to film are people who are passionate about what they do. I find them so inspirational. Their drive, their excitement over what they are doing is contagious. It reminds me of my own joy in the work I do and I find them so relatable even though our work is completely different from each other, our commitment to our craft is the same.
I want to introduce you to Emi Ito. As you will hear in her story, she is from Japan and she went from being a makeup artist living in New York to a weaver living in Bath, Maine. Her weaving is absolutely exquisite. The scarves she makes are works of art. They are so beautiful. I own two of them and I adore wearing them.
Emi is so delightful and she was so generous and kind to let me come into her studio to film her working on her looms and interview her as she shared the story of her great passion. I know you are going to really enjoy meeting her.
