For eight months, I worked in Bioko Island, filming several sequences including Drill monkeys (families and group behavior), Leather Back and Green sea turtles (top and underwater), and the extreme migration of goby fish (top and underwater). The equipment I used included: Arri Amira, Canon CINE-SERVO 50-1000mm, Sony A7s underwater and Sony FS7 remote control cameras.

Synopsis:
Off the coast of Central Africa lies an isolated island, covered by primeval rainforest and surrounded by dark ocean waters, inhabited by a greater variety of species than nearly any other place on Earth, this terra incognita is called BIOKO. The ruler of this realm is one of the world's least-known primate species, the drill. This film explores the secret lives of the drill, including the nesting grounds of various sea turtles and the rugged caldera. We follow Motuku, an alpha male, and his family. The newest member of the group little Sipoti.
