First and foremost, I want to say another massive thank you to everyone for your continued patience with regards to this project. I knew the glowing blades were going to be incredibly time consuming and seeing the finished Legolas vs Bodyguard fight here really does put into perspective that I have been working on this on and off for months now with just a minute's worth of footage in total. There were a lot of complicated shots during this fight scene and aspects that had to be layered on top of one another when certain things moved across the blade or were in front of it. To achieve the effect, I added a crop mask around the blade and had to keyframe the points frame by frame for each individual shot. As such, forgive the delay between videos haha

I now have a few remaining shots left to do for Thorin vs Bolg which I'm determined to get finished next. I don't like to throw around deadlines for when this project is going to be finished as I am incredibly busy and have to work on this project during my free time, but I would like to say that I want this project released for December this year; to coincide with the 20th anniversary of The Fellowship of the Ring. I feel like this would be a nice release date for it so that people can marathon my version of The Hobbit straight into The Lord of the Rings films. If time is on my side, maybe I'll have my fan edited version of The Fellowship of the Ring to release alongside it too, but that's getting ahead of myself.

Following this video, I would like to have a go at editing an updated version of the White Council scene, using the Bilbo shards of Narsil scene over the meeting itself in order to keep the focus of Bilbo. Once I have received feedback on this, I will make the decision whether the shards of Narsil scene stays during the White Council scene, or remains at the end of the film during the Return Journey where it currently is in my edit.

Once again, any feedback on this is greatly appreciated. If you feel I need to make the blade less blue or feather it some more, please drop me a timestamp during this video and I'll work on changing it for the final edit.
